Weber-Morgan Health Department Closes Last Community COVID-19 Mass Vaccination Site

OGDEN, UT - On Wednesday, March 16th, the Weber-Morgan Health Department will close the mass vaccination site at the Weber State Community Education Center on the corner of 2600 and Monroe Blvd. in downtown Ogden.

After that, those needing 1st, 2nd or boosters for COVID-19 vaccinations will need to look to more traditional immunization sources such as health clinics, pharmacies and primary care physicians.

Weber-Morgan Health Department Executive Director Brian Cowan said the mass clinic closure is one more sign the COVID-19 pandemic is subsiding.

“Vaccination is still the No. 1 way we can prevent the spread of this disease,” Cowan said. “We’re happy to have played a role in getting it out to the community quickly through these high-volume clinics. We received many compliments on our mass vaccination sites. We owe a debt of gratitude to Weber State, the many volunteers, community leaders, local first responders, the Utah National Guard and our own staff who played such an integral role in combating this novel virus through vaccinating 10s-of-thousands of our residents.”
