Weber County struggles with air quality issues, frequently going above acceptable standards for air pollution. This can have long-term health effects for our residents. Our children, elderly and those who have heart and lung diseases are especially sensitive. Weber-Morgan Health Department has developed this web site to help residents know what they can do to protect their health from these long-term effects and how they can help reduce air pollution in our community.
Below is the current Air Quality Index for the Ogden-area. The Air Quality Index is calculated using the current amounts of five major pollutants in our air: ground-level ozone, particulate matter, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide.
